Is Adoption Right For Me? Campaign

Is Adoption Right For Me Campaign New

01.06.22

Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Adoption Service launched its ‘Is Adoption Right For Me?’ campaign highlighting the process and raising awareness of what adoption entails.

Taking place for the whole month of June, the campaign aims to break down the barriers surrounding common misconceptions over the concept of the ‘complex’ adoption process and the ‘types’ of adopters.

Some of the campaign topics include:

  • Adoption Preparation Training
  • Approval and Family Finding
  • Placement and Support
  • Adoption Word Jumble

The campaign is being run on Facebook via the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Adoption Service page - https://www.facebook.com/candpadoptionservice.

Case Study

R, a single parent adopter, shared his experience of adopting his then four-year-old little boy.

“I’d fully advocate the adoption process to anyone thinking about it,” he said. “Yes, it can be hard at times, but so can any other means of starting a family, but the rewards out way the sacrifices all the way.”
